Wife of Funkmaster Flex Asks for Privacy in Domestic Issue

*DJ Funkmaster Flex and his wife, Monica Joseph-Taylor who were married in 2000, have been going through some drama lately, including a domestic abuse assault. But Joseph-Taylor says everything is good.

This past Saturday, Flex’s wife told a NY Daily News reporter “We’re doing okay,” just outside the couple’s home. Then she was asked to disclose the details of Friday’s debacle in their home, when her husband was arrested for allegedly shoving her to the ground.

She laughed and told the reporter, “You’d have to buy me dinner.”

She also added that the media and everyone else needs to respect her privacy, for her and her children.

The two have a 9-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son.

Meanwhile, in response to all the coverage, Flex admitted the two have had issues in the past.

“Yes, we had words,” Flex said. “Yes, there was an argument. Yes, there was a phone broken. Yes, there were police called. I love my fans, and I encourage all of them to work things out in their own marriages.”
