‘The Help’ Earns Four Oscar Nominations, Including Best Pic

“The Help” wrapped up its award season bounty this morning by nabbing four Oscar nominations: best picture, best actress for Viola Davis and supporting actress bids for Octavia Spencer and Jessica Chastain.

Martin Scorsese’s “Hugo” topped the pack with 11 nominations, followed by Michel Hazanavicius’ “The Artist” with 10.

Receiving a best documentary nomination is the feature “Undefeated,” which follows a Memphis high school football team who have a season that has to be seen to be believed.

The 84th Annual Academy Awards, with returning host Billy Crystal, will be televised on ABC on Sunday, Feb. 26.
