Nicki Minaj Invited To Visit High School*Nicki Minaj‘s old high school recently revealed why she’s not allowed to visit and guest speak, but another high school has shown interest.

LaGuardia High School fired back at Minaj after she claimed she wasn’t good enough to guest speak, but the high school said it was actually the Board of Education that declined her guest speaking.

Nevertheless, Hempstead School District and its Board of Education presidentLamont Johnsonwould love for Minaj to visit the campus.

“Hempstead School District, which has had some recent hardships, feels it would be a boost to their students,” said the district in a release, according to WCBS 880.

It might not feel the same way for Minaj to visit another school. She did graduate from LaGuardia High School after all. And she took to Twitter to express her disappointment.

“I wanted to go back to my high school and speak to the students but the new principal declined. No need for me to inspire them, I guess. SMH,” Minaj tweeted.

She added, “that school changed my life and I wanted to pay it forward to the students there now. I was really looking forward to it. I guess I’m not good enough.”

Her old high school said in a letter sent to parents the decision had nothing to do with how good enough she is, but there was another reason from the Board of Education that led to a no-go.

“It has been brought to our attention that Nicki Minaj is attempting to generate publicity for herself by posting negative information about our principal, Dr. Lisa Mars, and LaGuardia Arts High School,” said a letter sent out to parents explaining why they declined Minaj.

The letter continued, “the fact is that Ms. Minaj was told by the NYC Department of Education (DOE) that she would not be allowed to enter the school with a television crew. The DOE has policies in place to protect the privacy and security of all its students. I’m sure we all appreciate the strict enforcement of these policies with regard to the safety of our children.”
