Lamar Odom’s Ex Writes a Novel About Their Relationship

They were together for 12 years before they broke up in 2008

*Everyone who has an ex is liable to get their business pushed in the street with a hot book deal, even Lamar Odom. The Laker’s ex-girlfriend, Liza Morales, who has two kids with the baller, is ready to share with the world about the drama of their relationship and the journey of being in love with a professional athlete.

“It shows the lifestyle from the inside,” Morales told the NY Daily News of her book. “Since our society is obsessed with celebrity, the book gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the real reality.”

Well, she said no names would be revealed in the novel to protect the identity of the real folks.

A draft of the book has been written, but she is keeping the title hush hush. She’s also changed some things around, noting the athlete in her book plays for the NFL, not the NBA. But a source says that’s just garbage and the leading man seems to be a lot like Odom.

In other news, she said she didn’t write the book in revenge, but she wants readers to feel inspired by her story.

“My intent is not to bash my ex or any pro athlete,” Liza insisted. “I want to show women that you can rise up from a certain situation.”

The new author said about her relationship with the NBA star that they stayed together much too long, 12 years. But after the death of their 7-month-old son, he emotionally abandoned her and their other children, calling the turn of events “a real wake up call.”

Morales, 32, said that even though Odom does provide for their kids financially, she wants to earn her own money. Interestingly, when she had the chance to be part of VH1′s “Basketball Wives,” she turned it down.

“It just wasn’t for me,” Liza said, adding that she prefers the pen. “I get a euphoric feeling from it.”
