*Tracy Morgan took advantage of the red carpet spotlight to announce that he and his girlfriend, model Megan Wollover, are engaged.
The comic’s reps had to deny an earlier report from MediaTakeOut that reported Morgan had proposed to his ex-girlfriend (and reported kidney donor) Tanisha Hall.
“Tracy Morgan and Tanisha Hall are ENGAGED . . . AGAIN!!!” was the headline of the MediaTakeOut report, which Morgan’s PR team denied in an email to E! Online today, clarifying: “The entire story is inaccurate since they don’t even have the right girl… He is engaged BUT to Megan Wollover.”
“We got engaged six months ago,” Morgan told E!’s Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet.
Wollover sad the “pretty traditional” proposal took place in San Francisco. ”It wasn’t anything crazy,” she pointed out. “He was on bended knee and everything.”
In 2009, the comic actor and his wife Sabrina called it quits after 23 years of marriage.
