‘Ugly Betty’ Michael Brea Actor Murders Mother

Police say he chopped her head off with Samurai sword

*“Ugly Betty” actor Michael Brea has been accused of brutally decapitating his mother with a Samurai sword in her Brooklyn apartment.

According to police, the alleged murderer performed his fatal blows after screaming out Bible verses and a religious rant.

Neighbors reported that they heard the 31-year-old actor saying, “repent,” and another resident said he called 911 after he heard a woman yelling out for help.

By the time police arrived, the actor’s 55-year-old Yannick Brea was dead with her body decapitated.

Brea was taken to Kings County Hospital for a psychiatric exam.

In addition to “Ugly Betty,” the Haitian-American actor appeared in the movie “Step-Up 3-D” and starred in a campaign for the energy drink Full Throttle, according to a Haiti Internet movie database website.
