The Houston Texans' sudden change at quarterback from rookie sensation Deshaun Watsonto backup Tom Savage proved to be a downgrade Sunday in the team's loss to the Indianapolis Colts. On NBC's Football Night in America, Pro Football Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy had "that" suggestion for how to improve the Texans' quarterback play.
Before Sunday Night Football, Dungy said that the Houston Texans should sign free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick to replace Deshaun Watson after Watson was lost for the season with a torn ACL.
"You don’t have good quarterback play," said Dungy of the Texans offense. "When you have a mobile quarterback, your offense looks different. There is a mobile quarterback out there to get."
After Watson was lost for the year, the Texans signed quarterbacks Matt McGloin and T.J. Yates to their roster. McGloin had worked with Texans head coach Bill O'Brien at Penn State.
