*Old school rapper Tone Loc pleaded guilty to a domestic violence dispute that occurred over the summer.
According to reports, the “Funky Cold Medina” artist is indeed responsible for one count of corporal injury to a spouse, cohabitant or child’s parent and possession of an assault weapon. The victim was his child’s mother.
As far as the weapon is concerned, he had an unregistered Colt AR-15 Sporter, but it wasn’t used in the altercation. He was arrested and remained in custody for less than three hours after posing a $50,000 bond.
The rapper-actor, born Anthony Smith, 45 – who first came into prominence in the late 80s with the smash hit “Wild Thing” and then enjoyed a career resurgence in 1994, after appearing in a supporting role in the Jim Carrey vehicle “Ace Ventura” – was sentenced to one day in county jail, three years probation and 52 weeks of anger management counseling, as well as 30 days of community service.
