Sneak Peek: Keyshia Cole Chats About Career, Adopting Kids & Reality TV

Bethenny: How do you feel about your career right now?

Keyshia: With the touring and recording side of things I am really getting into a sexier side of myself and understanding my sexuality as I get uncomfortable.

Bethenny: Talking about sex and sexuality doesn’t come naturally to you?

Keyshia: No. I’ve never really been overly sexy, I don’t feel like I’m an overly sexy artist. In the bedroom, that’s different. Watch Keyshia below.

Bethenny: What do you think about being a reality star?

Keyshia: You know it’s just so up and down for me. I really love when young women come up to me and say, ‘Oh my God, to see you do it and know that you came from nothing and you didn’t allow adversity to change anything, you just really went after your dreams.’ There is that side of it and then there is the, ‘Oh your mother is on drugs and dadadada.’ It’s like people can be so mean, cruel and evil. It feels a little intrusive when people speak like that about my mother, my family, my sisters and stuff like that.

Bethenny: Would you adopt a child?

Keyshia: I do want to adopt, I do. I am thankful for my mother for adopting me, very thankful.

Bethenny: Do you still feel that way?

Keyshia: Oh of course. My mother loved me like her own and I don’t feel any different. Me and my brothers and sisters are still close.

Bethenny: Your adopted mom helps you raise your child?

Keyshia: Yes, of course. My mom is really a big part of my life. My mother helps me a lot. My son loves her, he calls her his best friend. It’s really sweet. I am kind of jealous. ‘He’ll be like Gran-mommy.’ Gran-mommy really? It’s mommy.
