Nicki Minaj Has the ‘It’ Factor

*This certainly won’t sit well with her nemesis, Lil Kim, but Nicki Minaj’s peers on the pop side, are uplifting the star, saying she has all of the qualities to be a dynamic artist.

Laurieann Gibson who is creative director to Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Diddy and Alicia Keys thinks that Minaj, who she also works with, has the same star qualities and drive that made Gaga big.

Katy Perry even called the rapper “the truth.”

“I think Nicki Minaj is the truth,” she told MTV News. “I think she is amazing, and I love her sense of style. I love her beautiful figure. It’s hot.”

She thinks Minaj has that “it” factor that distinguishes her from the rest.

“I like her whole attitude. She’s so funny and a chameleon, and you really don’t know exactly what you’re going to get from her, but you know it’s going to be entertaining at every corner,” she said. “She’s really fun. She belongs in this world. I’m very excited for her record. I can’t believe she hasn’t even put out a record yet and she’s still Nicki Minaj! It’s amazing.”

Perry hopes that Minaj’s music will resonate with other people the way it does with her.
