NFL ratings continue perking up after election — barely

The end of the presidential election continues to be good for the NFL’s TV ratings.

Key ratings increased for the second weekend in a row since the election, with the Redskins’ 42-24 rout of the Packers on Sunday night inching up over its 2015 comp for NBC and a Sunday afternoon window that featured the Seahawks’ 26-16 win over the Eagles drawing CBS’ largest number of the season.

The Washington-Green Bay game drew an 11.9 rating, up from the 11.7 rating that a Bengals-Cardinals game the same week last season attracted for NBC.

CBS’ improved 15.4 afternoon rating comes with some caveats, though. That was the lowest rating for a Week 11 national window since 2012 and was well below the 17.2 rating for a national window the same week last year on FOX headed by a Packers-Vikings game.

CBS also got an 11.9 rating for its regional slate of games Sunday, an improvement over the 9.7 rating in Week 11 last year.
