Lil' Kim, Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott and Da Brat reunited at the Soul Train Music Awards Sunday night to perform their 1997 smash "Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix)." It was the first time since the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards that the three female emcees performed the single. The reunion came at the tail end of the Soul Train Awards' Kool & The Gang tribute, as Eric Benét sang that band's 1979 single "Ladies Night," which was later sampled for the "Not Tonight" remix.

TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and radio personality Angie Martinez also featured on the "Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix)" that appeared on the 1997 Nothing to Lose soundtrack. While Lopes passed away in 2002, the portion of the rapper performing her verse from the "Not Tonight" music video was projected on the diamond-shaped screen onstage. Martinez wasn't in attendance at the Soul Train Awards, according to Rap-Up.

Like the all-star female emcee cameos in the "Not Tonight" music video, Lil' Kim, Elliott and Da Brat were later joined onstage by fellow female rappers MC Lyte, the Lady of Rage, Yo-Yo and R&B group Total for the closing chorus.

“I want to thank @LilKim @ONLY1BRAT @mclyte @THEOFFICIALRAGE YOYO TOTAL! I GOT ALL MY SISTAS WiTME! #RIP LeftEye we miss u,” Elliott tweeted after the performance. "I speak 4 my sistas @Lilkim @ONLY1BRAT we truly thank y'all 4 the [love] & we truly miss LeftEye she will always be a gem!"

The Soul Train Awards from Las Vegas' Orleans Arena also featured performances by Chris Brown, Jodeci, Aloe Blacc and more. Brown performed a medley of songs including "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)," "Poppin'," "Take You Down," "New Flame" and "Loyal," the latter winning three awards including Best Hip-Hop Song of the Year. The reunited Jodeci also delivered a medley of their R&B hits before wrapping up with the debut of their new single "Nobody Wins" featuring B.o.B.

Brown, Beyoncé and Pharrell Williams were among the night's big winners. Beyoncé landed Album of the Year for Beyoncé in addition to Best R&B/Soul Female Artist. Williams' "Happy" scored the awards for Song of the Year and Video of the Year, while John Legend was given the Ashford and Simpson Songwriter’s Award for his "All of Me."
