Kelly Rowland Discusses Reconnecting with Father

*Kelly Rowland is opening up about her personal life after being estranged from her father for over 20 years. She told the November issue of Cosmopolitan UK about how the anger she feels toward her dear old dad.

“[My dad] left me and my mom, and I was angry,” says Kelly in the November issue of Cosmo. “I wanted to be a daddy’s girl so bad. But this is not a perfect world.”

She did admit reconnecting with her father wouldn’t be a bad idea, but after dad went to the media, making a public plea for his daughter to come home, she’s hesitant.

Her dad told the “The Mirror” that he wants to make things up to Kelly and that he even has a room in his house “decorated especially for Kelly, just in case she comes through the front door.”

He pleaded: “Kelly, I love you with all my heart. Please forgive me and let me be your dad again.”

“He reached out to me saying he wanted to see me, but it’s unfortunate that he did it so publicly,” said Kelly. “I want to meet him, and soon, I really do. I forgave him a long time ago.”
