Judge to Chris Brown: ‘You’re Doing a Great Job’

*The Los Angeles judge overseeing Chris Brown’s probation for beating ex-girlfriend Rihanna gave the R&B star a thumbs up on Thursday and urged him to keep up the good work regarding his community service requirement.

“You’re doing very well on probation,” Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg told Brown. “You’re doing a great job.”

Brown, 21, did not speak during the hearing, according to the Associated Press.

The judge said Brown has been consistent in his efforts to satisfy the six-month community labor sentence he was given, but she did not say how many hours he had completed.

Schnegg also noted she had read positive reports from a domestic violence counseling program attended by Brown.

In 2009, the singer was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community labor for assaulting Rihanna in February 2009 after a pre-Grammy Awards party.
