“The line clearly meant don’t pit me against my brothers no matter what our differences are (red hat)”
On “What’s Free,” a song from Meek Mill’s new album CHAMPIONSHIPS, JAY-Z raps, “No red hat, don’t Michael and Prince me and Ye/They separate you when you got Michael and Prince’s DNA.” JAY has now clarified that he is not dissing Kanye West on the song. “The line clearly meant don’t pit me against my brothers no matter what our differences are (red hat),” he tweeted. Find the tweet below; scroll down to hear “What’s Free.”
Since that tweet, Kanye has responded to JAY-Z’s tweet with the following:
JAY-Z has spoken out against President Donald Trump numerous times. Notably, Trump lashed out on JAY after the rapper condemned the president’s language during a CNN appearance.
Kanye West has continued to show support for Trump, meeting with him at the White House in October. West also wore a red “Make America Great Again” hat on ”Saturday Night Live.”
