In 2003 a young talented songstress blessed the Toronto airwaves with her sweet voice. Already known for her collaborations on tracks such as Change the Game with Skitz and “Hello” the remix featuring Don Rollo.  Faith Walker’s Steppin Out! took the city of Toronto by storm.

Produced by Clairvoyants the single “Steppin Out!”  included 2 remixes. Part II featuring Nite and Part III featuring Choclair produced by Slackah.

“Hello”, “Change the Game” & Steppin Out! All had videos and received recognition nationally in Canada as a result of consistent airplay on Much Music.

Steppin Out! Ended up at #70 on the Flow 93.5 Charts Top 93 for 2003. It would appear as if Faith Walker was on the verge of Stardom.

Unfortunately, Faith had to step back from music as a result of heath issues. She was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. This single mother of 3 did not give up on her dream. Over the years she worked with the likes of 2 Rude, Marcus Kane, Rufus John, Pro Logic aka Joebi-wan amongst others.

Faith, also launched her own web series titled “Faithful Fridays” which included a monthly show case of local artists backed by a live band with host Nat. It would eventually turn into a radio show every Friday starting at 1:00 pm  at www.allthewaylivehiphop.com

In 2017 she released the “Head In the Clouds” EP and went on her 1st and only tour “The Music & Medicine Tour” with Curtis Young son of rap mogul Dr Dre. That year Faith also appeared on the Juno nominated album Coach Fresh by Toronto/Canada rap legend Maestro Fresh Wes. The track is called “Ambition”

In 2018 It would appear as if Faith was about to pick up where she left off. However, an album deal with an unnamed label in the U.S did not work out.

In 2019 “Head In The Clouds” was reignited with a remix featuring the talented Ray Robinson. Along with the song came a beautiful and inspiring video. Faith received international recognition for this song and video.

Although Faith’s self-titled album was ready for release in 2019 it was pushed back because of her increasing health issues.

In 2020 Faith was featured on the album Watch the Sign by Young Noble and Deuce Deuce on the track titled “Energy”. Faith was also featured on the EP Be Conscious Of by Righteous on the track titled “For The Love” featuring Recognize Ali produced by DJ Mercilless of the Moon Crickets.

Faith’s self-titled album was finally released November 25th, 2020 accompanied by the single “It Ain’t EZ” produced by Joebi-wan. The track and video gave the public a glimpse into her life with cancer and surviving, defying the odds once again after being given 2 days to live.

After hearing the sad news of Faith’s passing January 20th, 2021 tributes across the world from radio stations, DJ’s artists as well as fans began. There was no doubt she made a positive impact everywhere she went, and her music is inspiring!

On February 12th, the single/video for “Love By Now” from her self-titled album was released.

March 5th, 2021 the single/video for “Energy” by Deuce Deuce from the Watch the Signs album was released.

“Steppin Out!” was officially released to all streaming platforms March 6th, 2021 through Faith Walker’s label Taot Recordings.

The amount of phenomenal music Faith has scheduled for release over the next few months will certainly keep her memory alive. 2021 is Faith Walker’s year!
