Emmy Gifting Suite Attracts Celebs

Words and photos by Darlene Donloe

Bokeem Woodbine

*Bokeem Woodbine, Kevin Eubanks, Robert Townsend and Omar Benson Miller are just a few of the celebs who were on-hand for the ‘Endless Summer’ Primetime Emmy® Suite & Party, held recently at Gonpacho of Beverly Hills.

The party, which honored the television industry’s Emmy-nominated actors, former Emmy winners, presenters, stylists and industry VIPS, had stars mixing and mingling while vendors showered them with high-end swag that included skin care products, swimwear, luggage, watches, shoes, gourmet Asian cuisine and more.

“I’m here because my wife loves it when it’s Emmy time or Golden Globe time because I get to come here and bring her stuff,” said Woodbine, who stars in the new M. Night Shyamalan movie, ‘Devil,’ set for a September 17, release. “It’s all good.”

It was a lavish event for those lucky enough to be invited to the annual soiree, presented by CellCeuticals® Biomedical Skin Treatments and produced by Doris Bergman and Kathy Duliakas.

“This is a great event,” said Eubanks, the former “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” bandleader. “I had a really good time. You can’t beat this. There’s some really good stuff here. I like everything I saw.”

Twisted Silver Jewelry Necklaces

Some of the chic gifts given away included everything from Coleman Luggage® to Twisted Silver jewelry to Dirtee Hollywood and Obvious ClothingHipzbag® to Hipzbag® hands-free cell phone bags, Soy Terrific™ candles and It’s YOUR Special Day® keepsake jewelry.

Michelle Esposito started “It’s Your Special Day” two years ago. When she began her business, she was only making silver plated calendars. Since then, her collection has expanded and even includes key chains and necklaces. Actress Kym Whitley, who was also in attendance, is just one of the celebs currently wearing Esposito’s creation.

Anyone looking for something sparkly and shiny needed to look no further than Tori Torres’ impressive display of Posh Life Bling custom cell phone covers.

“Anything I can put on a phone, I’ll put on a phone,” said Torres, who added Beyonce, Keri Hillson, Ciara, Monique and Monica, all have some of her custom made pieces. “I use a lot of 3-D, chunky pieces. My creations change up weekly. They are limited edition collections. “I always had an eye for sparkly, girlie things.”

The hot jewelry item went to Twisted Silver, with rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces made of mixed metals.

“There is a lot of copper and brass that gives the pieces a “vintage, edgy vibe,” according to founder and designer Deborah Mitchell.

Other celebs on hand included, Rolonda Watts, ’Dancing With the Stars’ Chelsie Hightower, Bryan Batt, Eric Roberts, Antonio Sabato Jr., ‘The Bachelorette’s Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez, Cougar Town’s Carolyn Hennesy, Carrie Preston, Lauren Bowles & Mariana Klaveno from ‘True Blood,’ Felicity Huffman, Deidre Hall, Diane Ladd, Shirley Jones and Marty Ingles, Lenny Jacobsen from ‘Nurse Jackie,’ Eva La Rue from CSI: Miami and more.

Guests, who dined on cuisine created by Executive Chef Kudosan of Gonpachi of Beverly Hills, also donated and autographed their favorite book to Room To Read® for auction.
