Disney Channel Taps ‘House of Payne’s’ China McClain

*The Disney Channel has ordered a live-action comedy series titled A.N.T. Farm starring China McClain, best known for her role as Jazmine Payne in Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne” and “Daddy’s Little Girls.”

McClain will play Chyna Sparks, a middle school music prodigy who gets into a special high school program. The series will begin production in early 2011.

Also a singer and guitar player [listen to clips below], McClain is featured on the “JONAS L.A.” soundtrack singing “Your Biggest Fan” with The Jonas Brothers.

McClain has also appeared in a season 3 episode of “Hannah Montana” called “Welcome to the Bungle.” In 2010, she appeared in the movie “Grown Ups” as Charlotte McKenzie.
