*A new National Enquirer report says Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife blew her lump sum $15 million settlement in just four years.

But that’s not all. Supposedly Nicole Murphy not only blew more money than many of us will ever see in a lifetime, but she is also in debt and owes a total of $846,630. Oh yeah, she also put up her mansion for sale.

“Nicole made some bad investments with the fortune she got from Eddie, and now she is in serious financial straits,” said a friend of the 42-year-old.

The owed debt is actually an accumulation of old tax debts and making some really ill-informed decisions.

“Nicole is overwhelmed by the mountain of debt she has piled up,” added the source. Nicole, who has five children with Eddie, invested in an Internet jewelry business, but the venture quickly failed and Nicole lost most of her money.”
