BJ The Chicago Kid Celebrates 16th Anniversary of D’Angelo’s ‘Untitled’ with Homage EP
*With the evolution of R&B drastically prevalent, BJ The Chicago Kid is still inspired by the simple complexities of the genre’s traditional sound – and its artists.
As today marks the 16th anniversary of D’Angelo’s “Untitled,” BJ has recreated an ear-pleasuring experience of his favorite tracks from the incomparable album, including the title track “Untitled,” “Always In My Hair,” which also includes a mash up of “Dreaming Eyes of Mine,” and a fan favorite, “Send It On.”
“His musicality is beyond this world,” said BJ. “I had to celebrate his genius as he continues to kill the game and make great music.
“It’s a new year and there’s no better way to start it off than taking it back to where it all began for me. This is real soul/R&B.”
BJ The Chicago Kid will release his debut album early 2016, which includes his hit singles “Church”ft. Chance The Rapper, and recently released buzz track, “The Resume” ft. Big Krit.
