Birdman, Lil Wayne & Young Thug
*The drama over the shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus entered a new chapter with an indictment naming Cash Money Records CEO Birdman and rapper Young Thug among those involved a in the incident.
According to WSB-TV Atlanta, Young Thug and Birdman were named alongside Jimmy Winfrey, an affiliate of Young Thug who is the original suspect in the shooting. The indictment, which was filed in June in Cobb County, Georgia, mentions that Birdman, Young Thug and Winfrey are members of the Bloods gang. The trio’s involvement stems from an alleged conspiracy to kill Lil Wayne when the tour bus was shot up in April.
In addition, allegations from the indictment detailed reasons for the shooting. Among the reasons given were Lil Wayne’s contract dispute with Birdman over monies owed and the delayed release of the Young Money member’s ‘Carter V’ album, as well as Young Thug’s decision to name his album ‘Carter 6′ and Lil Wayne’s subsequent lawsuit.
“(Young Thug) released the next album in the Carter series but changed the name to “Barter VI” by changing the ‘C’ to a ‘B,'” the indictment says.
