Beastie Boys X Adidas Americana celebrates 30 years of ‘Paul’s Boutique’
Adidas has officially unveiled a new collaboration with the Beastie Boys. The release commemorates the 30th anniversary of their second studio album ‘Paul’s Boutique’ released on July 25, 1989. The reveal was shown first at the Beyond the Streets exhibition space in New York. The Beastie Boys x Adidas Skateboarding Americana serves to celebrate the influence of the Beastie Boys on skateboarding, punk, hip-hop, and graffiti culture over the last three decades around the world.
The new Americana arrives with an entirely vegan canvas upper, with a classic gum sole below. It is a throwback to 90’s skateboarding, with the silhouette matching the time period and a low key colorway. The sneaker features the Adidas Three Stripes branding in light grey along with the Beastie Boys logo by Eric Haze stamped on the tongue and sockliner badging.
The sneaker drops on Thursday, July 25 at Williamsburg, Brooklyn exhibit Beyond The Streets. You may also hunt them down here. A portion of the sales will go to PEACE Sisters and Little Kids Rock. You can catch the Adidas’ Beastie Boys exhibition on display at Beyond the Streets throughout July and August. Listen to the album below. Photo credit: Adidas
