8th-Grade Basketball Team Loses After Attempted Game-Winner Gets Stuck on Rim

Sometimes it's just not your night.

This proved to be true for the Rock Creek Mustangs on Monday during a Kansas eighth-grade boys basketball game.

With the clock winding down and the Mustangs trailing the Riley County Falcons, 26-25, a Rock Creek player attempted a game-winning shot.

It appeared destined to fall as the ball ricocheted off the backboard and sat on the rim.

Unfortunately for the Mustangs, that's all it did.

The ball remained in its lofty position until time expired, resulting in a heartbreaking loss.
