50 Cent's Lauren Boebert Comment Goes Viral After Meeting

50 Cent has responded to the backlash he received after uploading a photo of him with Donald Trump supporter Lauren Boebert.

The rapper—born Curtis Jackson III—visited Capitol Hill Wednesday to advocate for Black entrepreneurs and push for more representation in the alcohol industry. 50 Cent, who owns the liquor company Sire Spirits, was joined by civil rights attorney Ben Crump.

During his visit, 50 Cent took a photo of himself posing with the outspoken GOP representative, who is a prominent ally of former president Trump. The musician then uploaded the photo to X, formerly Twitter, where it quickly went viral.

People slammed 50 Cent, calling him a "disappointment" and Boebert an "embarrassment." Following the backlash, 50 Cent took to X to try to clear the air.

"Wait, wait, guys i took pictures with everyone and all you seem to care about is Lauren [shrug emoji] what did she do in a dark theater that hasn't been done, my God ! Hey I don't have chlamydia by the way. LOL," he said, uploading a photo of himself outside the Capitol Building.

At the time of writing, his post had been viewed 1 million times. Newsweek emailed spokespeople for 50 Cent and Boebert for comment Thursday.

His post refers to the fact that Boebert," an outspoken supporter of gun rights, gained a national spotlight in September 2023 after reports emerged that she and a date had been kicked out of a production of Beetlejuice: The Musical at downtown Denver's Buell Theater due to their allegedly inappropriate behavior.

Despite the lawmaker's initial denial of wrongdoing, security camera footage was later released showing Boebert vaping in the theater and fondling her date. In the wake of the incident, numerous donors dropped their support, while others retracted their endorsements. Boebert, who has voted against certifying the results of the 2020 presidential election after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capital, later issued an apology.

Opinions were divided on 50 Cent's post, with some people continuing to slam the rapper.

"You don't do your research? [face palm emoji," one person asked.

"The problem is she carpet bagged. She abandoned her constituents in CO3. That's a problem," said another.

This comment refers to the fact that in December 2023 Boebert, who was Colorado's third congressional district House representative at the time, announced that she wouldn't be defending her seat in November 2024 and would instead stand in the state's more conservative-leaning fourth congressional district.

"I didn't even know you were still around until today to be honest. When was the last time you were relevant?" someone else queried.

Others supported the rapper, with one person writing: "This post is awesome!! [three laugh emojis]"

"Those are haters. Glad to see you & Lauren ignoring them. You have adult business to handle [American flag emoji]," said another.

When 50 Cent uploaded the photo of him and Boebert on Wednesday he wrote: "Lauren Boebert, Colorado Republican making the white house look good [smirking emoji]."

At the time of writing it had been viewed 5.5 million times.

The rapper is no stranger to involving himself in politics. On Monday he said the world is "almost over" after Donald Trump's campaign allegedly raised more than $200 million since he was found guilty of 34 felonies.
