As the divide widens over the ongoing Colin Kaepernick protest debate, Snoop Dogg knows exactly where he stands. On Tuesday (Sept. 12), Snoop sat down with ESPN's First Take hosts to discuss Colin Kaepernick's activism and voiced his support for the embattled quarterback, who is currently still a free agent.
While speaking to the First Take hosts, Snoop expressed his disappointment in the league for overlooking the actions of other players but punishing Kaepernick for taking a stand in something he believes in. "What did he do so bad? I done seen players in the league that ... I ain't even gonna say what they did. Y'all know what they did," Snoop said. "But it wasn't worse than what [Kaepernick] did."
Snoop's passion was evident and the West Coast rapper received support from Magic Johnson throughout his rant as he continued to defend Kaepernick's protest. "He peacefully protested, the word is peacefully. I've seen some protest in Charlottesville that wasn't peaceful so it's like shows the benefits of what he did on the positive side, which he brought some awareness to something that's actually happening as we speak."

The "Neva Left" MC joins the growing pool of musicians and entertainers who have previously voiced their support for the former 49ers quarterback. During the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, breakout artist Cardi B used her camera time to shout out Kaepernick, saying: "Colin Kaepernick, as long as you kneel with us, we gonna be standing for you baby."
