Rihanna and Daddy Cut the Tension

*Rihanna has made amends with her estranged father, Ronald Fenty, after taking a trip to her home in Barbados. The rift between the two began shortly after he expressed his resentment about his daughter’s relationship with then-boyfriend Chris Brown.

The former drug addict made matters worse when he ended up drunk at one of her concerts and trashed the singer’s tour bus. But now things are looking up.

Fenty, 57, said: “I saw her twice before Christmas and she came to see me on Christmas Day (12.25.10). She showered me with gifts, a lot of stuff, many shirts and cologne. She’s always really generous.”

Fenty also expressed his joy to be back on good terms with his daughter, but he feels like things will never be the same.

“Maybe we’re not as close as we were when she was growing up here and was at school. But we are blood, we do not stay angry and we are friends again,” he shared.

Rihanna has shared before that her childhood was definitely a challenge dealing with her father’s drug problems.
