The MC was known for his West Coast diss track and collaborations with Kool Keith and Ultramagnetic MCs

Bronx rapper Tim Dog has been reported dead at the age of 46 years old.

According to The Source, the veteran MC passed away from a seizure following his long battle with diabetes. Additional details surrounding his death are scarce at this time, but several musicians, including Tony Touch, J-Zone and Pete Rock, have expressed their condolences on social networking sites.

The MC, who collaborated with Ultramagnetic MCs early in his career, is best known for his track “F*** Compton,” often hailed as one of the best disses of all time, targeting Dr. Dre and N.W.A. in the early ‘90s. The cut was included on his solo debut "Penicillin on Wax," released in 1991, and elicited response records from DJ Quick, Dre and Compton’s Most Wanted.

Tim Dog, whose real name was Timothy Blair, teamed up with Kool Keith under the name Ultra to release 1996’s "Big Time." Over the years, he dropped solo several LPs including "Do or Die," "Immortal" and "BX Warrior," which impacted in 2006.

In September 2011, Tim Dog entered a guilty plea to grand larceny for defrauding a woman out of thousands of dollars. He began an online relationship with the woman and insisted that he needed investors for a comeback album, causing the woman to build $32,000 in credit card debt. The case was reported months later on “Dateline NBC.”
