QUEENSBRIDGE, NY – A sprawling image of Prodigy can now be found in Queensbridge thanks to a mural painted by two artists.

The mural of the late Mobb Deep rapper, which is fittingly painted on the wall of a building across the street from the Queensbridge Houses where he spent time growing up, was created by artists Jeff Henriquez and Eli “Eli Eos” Lazare.

Lazare was the same artist behind the Nas mural, also located in Queensbridge.

In a statement, the pair touched on the impact Prodigy had on up-and-coming musicians.

“His deep and meaningful lyrics inspired and influenced many young rappers and followers,” they said.

Via his Instagram page, Henriquez documented the progress made on the mural as he shared a handful of photos from the site.
