Outrageous?: Promoters Throw a Light Skin vs. Dark Skin Party

*In an interesting turn of social events, the “most anticipated” party of the year, “Light Skin vs. Dark Skin, is set to take place on Jan. 21 in Columbus, Ohio.

Yes you read that right.

A group of club promoters has stirred a bit of an outrage among socialites and Twitter heads around the social media globe.

A little while ago, a Twitter feud popped off between “#teamlightskin” and “#teamdarkskin.” So from there, the promoters thought it’d be a great idea to host this very ridiculous party.

“This might be the most popular failed event ever,” Twitter user YoungTruph tweeted.

Another twitter user, PoeticSongBird wrote, “The media is telling us White is beautiful but no, we have to add our own spin on it and degrade ourselves.”

Smh.
