Since his retirement from the NBA last season, Kobe Bryant has been quite a busy body with various ventures through the media.
One of the unique ways has remained active is through commercial over the years. In light of that, he has added another hilarious one to the list that stars himself and Jalen Rose centered around a potential statue in front of Staples Center for the future Hall of Famer.
The premise of the commercial leads back to when Rose discussed last year that he wanted to be in Bryant’s future statue in front of Staples Center playing defense.

In the commercial, Bryant once again played off his ruthless aggression on the court by pointing out his 81-point game against Rose and the Toronto Raptors back in January 2006. It was a coy way of making light of his headstrong personality and confidence on the court that helped make him one of the greatest players that the game has ever seen.
There is some history between Rose and Bryant that originally stems back from the Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers matchup in the 2000 NBA Finals. Bryant was hurt in Game 2 of the series after he landed on Rose’s foot. He was forced to miss a game but returned to help lead his team to what would be the first of three straight NBA titles.
Bryant had stated back in 2015 during an interview with Bill Simmons that he was ‘waiting on his revenge” against Rose that subsequently came in the 81-point performance.
That said, Rose had also revealed that he had intentionally hurt Bryant in hopes of giving his team an advantage in the NBA Finals. Since then, there hasn’t been any disdain between the two as they have buried the hatchet and moved on to put on a comical commercial.
