"The fact that we can move past the BS is a testimony [to] how much we have grown."

Jay Z seems to be in a conciliatory mood of late: three weeks after bringing former rap nemesis Fat Joe into the Roc Nation familyDipset rapper (and another former thorn in Jay's side) Jim Jones has also signed a management deal with Roc Nation, a source confirmed to Billboard. As part of the deal, Roc will handle Jones' music, fashion, acting and other ventures.

The Harlem MC, alongside his fellow Diplomats members Cam'ron and Juelz Santana, has had issues with Hov for over a decade, dating back to the early-mid 2000s when Dipset was signed to Def Jam/Roc-a-Fella Records, and the subsequent division between Roc co-founders Jay and Dame Dash. Jones and Jay exchanged diss tracks several times over the years -- most notably when Hov flipped Jones' No. 5 Hot 100 hit "We Fly High" into "Brooklyn High" in 2006 -- but the two have now seemed to have set their differences aside.

"As you get older you realize that most of your peers are either dead or in jail,” Jones said in a quote provided to Billboard. "The fact that we can move past the BS is a testimony [to] how much we have grown."

Fat Joe attends the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards at Madison Square Garden on Aug. 28, 2016 in New York City.

Fat Joe Signs Management Deal With Roc Nation

Word first began to leak last night (Feb. 8) after Jones and Roc Nation exec Vic Medina posted photos of Jones at the Roc Nation headquarters and signing paperwork with the Roc logo.

The signing is the latest in a spree of deals over the past 12 months for Roc Nation, both on the management and label side. The LOX -- who also publicly beefed with Jay Z and Roc-A-Fella in the early 2000s -- signed a label deal with the company in December, while T.I.Yo GottiRapsody and Belly have all joined the roster in various capacities. Last year, the Roc also partnered with Romeo Santos to launch a Latin division for the label, and also partnered with Warner/Chappell for Roc Nation Nashville, expanding its reach beyond the familiar territory of hip-hop.

A rep for Roc Nation did not respond to a request for comment as of press time, though an official statement is expected this afternoon.
